Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in New York

A Quality Assurance (QA) Manager in the technology industry is responsible for supervising the activities of the quality assurance department, developing and implementing systems for ensuring product quality, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that the final products meet company and customer-specific standards. They also work to identify and correct potential areas of weakness within the production process and monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system. They are often tasked with developing, implementing, and managing procedures to help the organization maintain an environment of continuous improvement and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Important skills for a QA Manager include strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of QA processes and methodologies. Familiarity with industry-specific software and technologies is also crucial. Key certifications include Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), or Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE). Prior to becoming a QA Manager, a person may have roles such as a Quality Assurance Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, or Quality Assurance Specialist.
