Senior Network Engineer

What you'll do

Perform the planning, development, implementation, configuration, support, and vendor management, and to include providing infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, strategy, system troubleshooting, system updates, performance engineering and optimization and maintenance strategy and assists in its execution of:
Routing, Firewall, EPL, VPN, and WAN connectivity equipment
Nutanix Clusters, Underlying Nutanix Nodes, Nutanix services
Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Nutanix replication, IBM SAN Replication, Veeam Backup, and EMC DataDomain hardware & Replication
Cloud VoIP Phone systems
Microsoft Network technologies: NPS (RADIUS), Certificate Authority, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure Networking and services, License Management, MDT, Web Application Proxy
Microsoft Operating System technologies: Server 2019 - 2025, Services, Event Viewer, Local Disks, Uptime, Monitoring and Alerts
Microsoft Print Servers and Print Devices
Maintain and manage, including provide design implementation planning, deployment support, troubleshooting, system updates, change control, optimization and assists in its execution of our existing and future:
Access and Content Control Policies: Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba ClearPass, Cisco and Aruba Switches, and Cisco Umbrella
Edge Device connectivity: Cisco Routers, Cisco and Aruba core and access switches and Cisco WLAN and Meraki
Create, Manage, Edit, and Troubleshoot scripts and scripting or automation tools. Maintain version control and quality assurance of scripts. Understand fully the functional being performed and is responsible for curating documentation within scripts created or maintained.
Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning, Testing, Documentation creation, Process maintenance and modification, planning, capacity, RPO & RTO, and vendor management.
Be involved in the introduction of new services into the Service Catalog and responsible for integrating them into the capacity and availability management plan.
Enforce and adhere to company policy with respect to documentation, incident tracking, service requests, change control and release management for all information technology systems. Maintain end-to-end documentation of all Configuration Items in the Service Catalog.
Maintain and promote a culture of individual and team accountability. Pursue and maintain general IT and function-specific awareness through continuing education and certifications.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

8 10 years of related experience.
Use of network, server and SAN performance analysis tools to monitor and tune systems for optimal performance.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (10+ years of practical experience can be substituted for degree).
A current Cisco CCNA certification or 7+ years of practical, hands-on experience is required.
A current Palo Alto PCNSA certification or 7+ years of practical, hands-on experience is required.
A current AZ-104 certification or 7+ years of practical, hands-on experience with current or previous release of Windows Server is required.
A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts, principles of routing, client/server applications, and high availability is required.
