Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical cables for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to join ourCable Assembly team. The position will be located in Nashua, New Hampshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design,implement, and support high-performance data networking solutions across labenvironments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring networkreliability, performance, and security across Ethernet and routing technologies,and will partner with cross-functional teams to validate customer use cases andresolve complex issues.

Design, implement, and maintain network architectures (spine-leaf andAI-fabric topologies) using switching, routing, and transport technologies.Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Ethernet/IP networks (L2/L3) includingVLANs, spanning tree, routing, QoS, and related protocols.Diagnose complex performance and connectivity issues across TCP/IP andoptical transport layers using packet captures, logs, telemetry, and structuredtroubleshooting methodologies (OSI model).Plan and execute network changes, maintenance activities, and incidentresponse; document root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective/preventiveactions.Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams,physical/logical topology, IP plans, and runbooks (e.g., Visio).Build and maintain a lab network environment with hardware and softwarematching known customer use cases; support interoperability, regression, andfailure-mode testing.Perform DAC, ACC, and AEC cable validation including characterizationimpairments, cleaning/inspection practices, and coordination of remediationactivities.Use ticketing systems and operational tools to track work, prioritizeissues, and communicate status to internal stakeholders and customers.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to translaterequirements into network designs, validate solutions, and supportproduct/customer escalations.Automate repetitive operational tasks and data collection using scripting(preferably Python) to improve reliability and speed of delivery.Ensure network solutions and lab practices align with relevant industrystandards and specifications (IEEE/ANSI) and internal operational guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in related fields3-5 years of professional experienceExperience with server technologiesExperience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Broadcom, Keysight, ViaviExperience with PCIe, DAC, AEC, and AOC testingUnderstanding of datacenter architectures such as spine-leaf and AI-fabricdesignsDemonstrated CCNA/CCNP-level proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting,and maintaining networks.Understanding of specifications such as EIA-364-X, GR-468-X, GR-78-X etc.Understanding of how to perform testing and complex data analysisAbility to communicate with technical & non-technical stakeholdersAbility to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate withemployees, customers, and suppliers in person, on the phone, and through writtencommunication in a clear, straightforward, and professional mannerAbility to use a personal computer and common software applicationsAdvanced data networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, optical transport)Advanced knowledge of fiber characterization and associated opticalimpairmentsAdvanced knowledge of related industry specifications and standards (IEEE,ANSI) and fiber/media types (multimode, single mode, UTP), including bridging,switching, routing, Ethernet, and transport technologies and protocolsAdvanced knowledge of network design, network architecture, protocols, andnetwork topologyAdvanced knowledge of using ticketing systems and software tools to supportcurrent operationsAdvanced knowledge of basic network devices and basic network appliancesAdvanced knowledge of network design software, such as VisioAbility to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and learn newtechnology quicklyKnowledge of or experience with one or more programming/scripting languages,preferably PythonKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a team environment
