Design computer interfaces to encourage particular customer-computer interactions. User experience designers— also called UE, UX, or UI designers— strive to create functional interfaces that are easy to use. Examples of common interfaces include websites and computer applications. These designers use market research and psychological as well as graphic design concepts to maximize effectiveness and visual appeal.
Some user experience designers specialize in one of three areas: interaction, information, or visuals. Interaction designers focus on optimizing functionality and aligning the interface to consumer purpose, which they do by implementing testing procedures and interpreting user data. Information designers handle user assistance tools and product-specific content. Visual designers organize and present interface components using aesthetically pleasing formats.
