Software Development Manager Jobs

Manage the software development team. Software development managers oversee the activities of software development employees, ensuring high product quality. They track daily progress, monitor adherence to established design models, and adjust plans as necessary. They are involved in the hiring process for development staff and typically expected to mentor their recruits.

Software development managers are also responsible for documenting strategies and results. Because they regularly present these reports to higher management personnel, they must have advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, some managers work with other departments in order to facilitate the obtainment and allocation of supplies and equipment.
