Data Architect Remote & Hybrid Only Jobs in Nevada

A Data Architect in the technology industry is responsible for designing, creating, deploying and managing an organization's data architecture. This involves defining how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way. They are also responsible for developing and maintaining a company's database by identifying structural and installation solutions. A Data Architect works closely with other tech experts like Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met.

Key skills for a Data Architect include a deep understanding of database structure principles, data modeling, and experience with SQL and Oracle. Proficiency in data warehousing solutions and a variety of coding languages is also crucial. Data Architects should have the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications. They should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) and IBM Certified Data Architect would be highly advantageous. Prior to becoming a Data Architect, an individual might have experience as a Data Analyst, Database Administrator, or a Data Scientist.
