Configuration Management Specialist Jobs in California

A Configuration Management Specialist in the technology industry is responsible for the management and control of changes in a system by ensuring that all its components are correctly defined, updated, and coordinated. The specialist oversees the documentation, analysis, and design layouts of systems and components. They may also be responsible for the management of software releases and their tracking, the auditing of configuration items, and the resolution of any configuration related issues. Furthermore, they monitor the performance of configuration management systems and make necessary improvements or changes.

A Configuration Management Specialist should have strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of configuration management principles. They should also be proficient in using configuration management tools. Preferred certifications would include Certified Configuration Manager (CCM), Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), or similar qualifications.
