Job Title: SQL Server DBA (Banking Domain)

Location – Jersey City , NJ

Duration – 12+ Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with strong banking domain expertise to manage, secure, and optimize mission-critical Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting financial and banking applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support SQL Server (2016–2022) in banking/financial environments
• Ensure high availability and zero/low downtime for critical banking systems
• Manage performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with banking RTO/RPO requirements
• Support High Availability solutions (Always On Availability Groups, FCI, Log Shipping, Replication)
• Enforce database security, encryption, and compliance with banking regulations (SOX, PCI-DSS, etc.)
• Monitor and optimize database performance using enterprise tools
• Work with application, infrastructure, and security teams in a regulated environment
• Automate DBA tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Server Agent Jobs

Required Skills:

• 8–12+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
• Strong experience in banking/financial domain projects
• Expertise in performance tuning, HA/DR, backup & recovery
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server 2016–2022
• Experience with monitoring tools (SSMS, Extended Events, Redgate, SolarWinds, etc.)
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in banking systems

Preferred:

• Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, migrations)
• Certifications: Azure DBA Associate / Azure Administrator Associate
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines)
• ITIL Foundation certification
