Senior Software Engineer

Engagement: Contract-to-Hire | Remote

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a talented fully remote engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of a mature cloud-based and WordPress-driven platform and a forward-looking AI engineering roadmap focused on innovative solutions within the higher education space.

REQUIRED CORE ENGINEERING

Strong backend API development experience (Python and PHP preferred)

Frontend development experience with React or similar frameworks

Cloud infrastructure familiarity

Relational and/or NoSQL database design experience

RESTful API design and integration

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows

Active participation in code reviews and pull request reviews

Comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants as part of daily development workflows

Agile / Scrum team experience

PREFERRED

Familiarity with the following technologies:
