This vacancy is for a GS-2210-13, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) located in the C5I-Y Information Assurance Division in Kearneysville, West Virginia.
To qualify at the GS- 13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS- 12 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

Your resume must demonstrate that you meet 4 out of the 6 specialized experience below:
- Conducting comprehensive security assessments to align cybersecurity efforts with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability, authentication, confidentiality, and integrity and achieve authority to operate; or
- Performing ongoing assessment of system security posture, including evaluating vulnerabilities within an application, operational technology, operating system software, and/or peripheral network equipment such as routers, bridges, switches etc; or
- Managing and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of these changes; or
- Monitoring the system and environment of operation to include developing and updating the system security plan; or
- Creating Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to document system vulnerabilities; or
- Working knowledge of system administration, network, operating system hardening techniques, network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth).
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Student Loan - Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent or term position may be eligible for student loan repayment up to $10,000 (pre-tax) for one calendar year. More than one loan may be repaid if the combined repayments do not exceed $10,000. Receipt of this incentive will require a three-year service agreement.
