UX Designer
POSITION LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA, 15222
WORK ARRANGEMENT: 5 days onsite
Pay Rate: $40 to 50/hr. on W2 ONLY
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 6 Months Contract to Hire role
FUNCTION OF THE GROUP: The organization is technology risk management. So we manage risk and resiliency for all of the technology org. We're in the process of doing a complete re-imagination of our control, our control framework as well as our technology risk processes. The team is building 2 new applications for us. This person is going to build the front end UI screens; they would provide us the design.
INITIATIVES/PROJECTS: IT Risk Modernization.
INDUSTRY BACKGROUND: Finance background not necessary, but would like to see someone who knows or has familiarity with how to comply with certain regulations related to Accessibility compliance and that type of design background.
Key Requirements:
UX Design Expertise.
Strong experience in designing intuitive, user-centric digital experiences across web and enterprise applications
Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, usable designs.
Design Tools (Core Requirement).
Hands-on expertise in Figma (Clients primary design platform) is required.
Experience with other UX tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision is a plus.
Ability to collaborate effectively within shared design systems and component libraries.
Wireframing & Prototyping.
Proficient in creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups.
Demonstrated ability to iterate designs quickly based on stakeholder and user feedback.
Front-End Awareness o Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front-end principles to ensure design feasibility and smoother handoff to engineering teams.
Ability to collaborate closely with developers to align on implementation constraints.
Collaboration & Communication o Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly to product owners, engineering teams, and leadership. o Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning and iterative delivery.
Accessibility & Compliance (Enterprise Focus).
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing for inclusive user experiences.
Awareness of regulatory and risk considerations in enterprise environments is a plus.
Portfolio Requirement o A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process, from research and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
MUST HAVE SKILLS REQUIRED (2-4 years of experience required):
1. Hands-on expertise in Figma,
2. UX Design Expertise,
3. Wireframing & Prototyping,
4. Basic Front-End Knowledge,
5. Accessibility & Compliance (Enterprise Focus) - Understand WCAG accessibility standards,
6. Provide Portfolio,
7. Previous Client Experience Required.
FLEX SKILLS:
1. Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision.
2. Experience in Agile environments.
EDUCATION: HS Degree or Higher. UX Design certifications a plus.
INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1st round - ~45 minutes. Optional 2nd round (If needed)
