As a key member of our cross-functional software and AI team, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cloud-based AI applications designed to enable next-generation MBSE capabilities. Working alongside STC's iMBSE Chief Engineer, you will focus on defining and evolving the AS-IS and TO-BE architecture for the Intelligent MBSE project. This position requires conducting comprehensive alternatives analyses, developing and maintaining system architectures, and ensuring robust requirements generation and validation in line with advanced digital engineering practices You will also help advance agile processes, contribute to innovation through continuous improvement, and drive seamless, secure delivery of impactful solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. Occasional customer-facing technology demonstrations are also expected. Core Responsibilities User Needs Elicitation Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze, and prioritize user needs for AI-enabled MBSE capabilities. Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) Perform trade space analyses and dependency evaluations based on user needs. Develop an early capabilities roadmap informed by insights from AoA. Requirements Development and Validation Translate user requirements and AoA findings into actionable, verifiable, and validated system requirements. Ensure that requirements are testable and develop initial test plans. Maintain and manage requirements within Cameo Systems Modeler. MBSE Architecture Development Design, model, and maintain AS-IS and TO-BE system architectures using Cameo Systems Modeler. Map requirements to system elements using model-based approaches. Sustain the model as the iMBSE product evolves and ensure the model is always accurate as a decision resource. MBSE Simulation and Analysis Leverage MATLAB/Simulink to simulate iMBSE system dynamics and identify potential performance issues during the initial stages of the design lifecycle. Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate customer-facing demonstrations to showcase technology capabilities and support current contract execution and new business opportunities. Continuous Improvement Initiatives Stay up-to-date on advancements in MBSE tools, technologies, and best practices. Champion the integration of innovative capabilities and process improvements to maintain technical excellence. Qualifications Required BS with 8-10 years of experience, MS with 6-8 years, or PhD with 3-5 years in systems engineering or a related discipline Proven experience in systems engineering and knowledge of the systems engineering process. Proven experience with systems engineering tools including, but not limited to, MBSE tools like Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM) for requirements and architecture management. Experience in eliciting, defining, validating, and managing system requirements. Experience with analysis of alternatives (AoA) techniques and trade space evaluation. Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to communicate technical concepts and demonstrate solutions. Familiarity with agile development workflows and a commitment to continuous improvement. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Preferred Skills Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulating, and analyzing complex system interactions Experience in developing AI-enabled systems or cloud-based applications. Familiarity with implementing secure product delivery. Advanced knowledge in digital engineering environments and tools. Technology and Tools The ideal candidate should demonstration proficiency in the following technologies: Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM) for architectural modeling, requirements traceability, and decision-making workflows. MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and performance analysis. Proficiency in UML/SysMLv1; familiarity with SysMLv2. Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
