About the department

The Global IT Applications and Infrastructure department is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure including it's applications within Elopak worldwide. This includes data centers, cloud environments and business-critical IT systems at our manufacturing locations. You will work closely with colleagues around the world in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Your role as an Manufacturing IT Specialist

As an Manufacturing IT Specialist, you're purpose is to provide reliable global IT support for Elopak's manufacturing sites, including 2nd and 3rd line support for manufacturing IT services in a 24/7 setup. You will work from our new state-of-the-art plant in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our plant runs 7 days a week operations.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Manufacturing process experience.
  • Experience with outsourcing (preferably as customer).
  • Experience working with a Service Desk and ticketing in ITSM system

  • Compute & Operating Systems,Virtualization, IT/OT platforms, Storage & backup, Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure,

Automation & Scripting, Security & Compliance, ITSM & Operations

Responsibilities:

2nd and 3rd line support on manufacturing IT services

  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL), relate to IT services to all manufacturing sites, physically or remotely.
  • Support the management of the on-premise datacenter.
  • Plan for, and coordinate, external vendor visits to the Elopak manufacturing sites including safety instructions and approved work permits.
  • Keep onsite IT equipment stock per manufacturing site up to date and in order.
  • On call responsible for the 24/7 shift as per schedule, serving all Elopak sites.
  • Work extended hours on occasion when required and upon managers request.

Demand management, planning and implementation

  • Contribute to the short-, medium- and long-term IT plans of manufacturing sites.
  • Specify specific needs, and document requirements, design, and document solutions, and support the development of IT solutions.
  • Participate in assigned business and IT projects, under the lead of a project manager, or as project manager.

Security, compliance & continuity

  • Ensure infrastructure complies with security -, governance -, and internal policies consistently across all manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate, maintain and test backup and disaster recovery plans and processes.
  • Coordinate and support vulnerability management related to manufacturing IT services.
  • Support audits and risk assessments related to manufacturing sites infrastructure

Documentation, reporting and knowledge sharing

  • Maintain knowledge articles, standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
  • Report time and attendance, and progress, as per company policies.
  • Complete necessary mandatory training in a timely manner.
