Hiring Solution Architect in Toronto, Ontario

The Solution Architect is a key member of the development team responsible for the ongoing development and support of a proprietary enterprise-wide application. This application has been developed over several years and is a major asset of the company. The role involves leading the alignment of current systems with new solutions, supporting and directing the analyst and development team members, establishing parameters for testing, and leading brainstorming sessions to support business and IT team members.

• Expert working knowledge of development platforms: C# and Visual Studio 2017, Transact SQL using SQL Server 2014, and report design and development.
• Expert working knowledge of web-based development technologies: MVC and Web Forms, Web Services (REST and SOAP), CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with open source libraries including Bootstrap 3.0, jQuery, Select2, Moments, and Bootgrid.

• Experience in leading the translation of business objectives and requirements into functional solutions.
• Ability to manage design specifications, and functional requirements to assist developers.
• Experience in guiding teams in the creation of effective unit and integration tests.

• Lead the alignment of current systems solution elements with target new solutions and capabilities.
• Support and direct the analyst and development team members to align specific work items and guide decisions about enabling workflow, function, and data.
• Establish parameters for testing, including consulting on the data and code that need to be included in plans.
• Lead brainstorming sessions to resolve system issues and support business and IT team members in creating clear requirements and clarifying specifications.
