QA Automation Lead

We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Lead who combines strong technical expertise with team leadership. This role focuses on leading a team of QA engineers, assigning and tracking tasks, and actively contributing to automation testing efforts. Unlike a Test Manager role, this position remains deeply involved in test design, scripting, and execution.

• Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium)
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• Proven experience in leading QA teams and assigning tasks in Agile environments
• Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Hands-on contribution to automation scripting and technical solutions
• Direct involvement in execution, not just oversight
• Close collaboration with development teams
• Strong Technical leadership skills
• Automation-first mindset
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD integration for automated test execution
• Experience in driving improvements in automation frameworks, tools, and QA processes
• Experience troubleshooting automation issues and guiding the team in resolving technical challenges

• Lead a team of QA engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance
• Assign, prioritize, and track testing tasks based on sprint and project needs
• Actively design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Review team deliverables including test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define test strategies
• Ensure adequate test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide QA input
