Our client, a dynamic public utilities regulatory agency, is seeking a KCC - IT Programmer (Python) to join their dedicated team. As a KCC - IT Programmer (Python), you will be part of the Information Technology Department supporting various internal teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Topeka, Kansas ONSITE NOT REMOTE

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications to support agency operations
  • Support and modernize legacy applications and related processes
  • Assist in identifying and implementing modernization solutions for existing systems
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to review and oversee development work
  • Manage database systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data security and system integrity

What's Needed?

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, PHP, and SQL/PL SQL
  • Minimum of 3+ years of application development experience
  • Experience in coding, testing, and debugging applications
  • Solid understanding of database design and management
  • Ability to support and enhance internal applications using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
