What You Will Do

As a Level 3 Data Scientist, you will provide advanced discovery support by leveraging a variety of techniques including machine learning, analytical prototyping, scripting, automation, data visualization, statistical analysis, and TechSIGINT tools. You'll design adaptable solutions that evolve with new tools and technologies, supporting mission-critical data-driven initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with technical leads, SMEs, and analysts, and benefits greatly from prior experience in targeting, discovery, or analytic roles.

Key Responsibilities

Support discovery and analysis by applying statistical methods, machine learning models, and automation strategies.

Build prototypes and scripts for processing, modeling, and visualizing large volumes of structured and unstructured SIGINT data.

Engage in technical collaboration with TDNA teams, DS, SIGDEV experts, and RF specialists (HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM - experience here is a plus).

Employ data processing techniques including normalization, exploratory analysis, and database querying.

Use Jupyter Notebooks and Python to model data, build algorithms, and drive insights.

Deliver presentations or briefings that communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Translate mission needs into technical requirements and assist stakeholders in interpreting complex data sets.

Leverage a wide range of analytic and visualization tools to tell compelling data stories.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in data processing, normalization, and exploratory analysis.

Proficient in Jupyter Notebooks and Python for advanced analytical modeling.

Strong data visualization skills with the ability to explain complex results clearly.

Capable of applying a mix of the following skill areas:

Mathematics, Computational, Statistical Foundations

Data Management and Workflow Reproducibility

Modeling, Inference, and Domain-specific Analysis

Experience with large-scale National Agency data, including noise, variability, and signal interpretation.

Familiarity with machine learning, algorithm development, and statistical testing methods.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across disciplines and teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in TechSIGINT, SIGDEV, or RF-based intelligence (HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM).

Previous experience as an analyst, targeter, or discovery analyst in the IC.

Experience delivering polished briefings to diverse audiences.

Education and Experience:

Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience

Associate's degree with 12 years of relevant experience

Clearance Requirement:

Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role .
