USPS requires a comprehensive solution to manage and track its assets effectively. The organization currently stores asset data in three internal databasesWebEOR, SEAM, and OSL. To improve transparency and operational efficiency, USPS aims to standardize its internal processes for asset movements through the implementation of new forms.

USPS is looking for a Systems Engineer to support USPS in developing and managing an Asset Management Tracking, Tracing, and Inventory Management System.

HOW A SYSTEMs ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Software Asset Management Expertise
• Experience in implementing and customizing ServiceNow Asset Management modules.
• Knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) for asset tracking and integration.
• Proficiency in workflows, reporting, and automation.
• Dashboard development with developing dynamic dashboards with data visualization features such as heat maps.
• Knowledge of integrating real-time data from external databases sources.
• Expertise in implementing drill-down menus and query-based search functionalities.
• Expertise in integrating product software with external databases like WebEOR, SEAM, and OSL via APIs, ETL tools, or data connectors.
• Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation from multiple sources.
• Skills in ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
• Strong knowledge of database systems, including SQL and non-SQL databases
• Experience with database integration and querying tools
• Expertise in using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to connect and process data between systems.
• Proficiency in ensuring real-time data synchronization.

• Skills in creating user-friendly interfaces for forms and dashboards.
• Expertise in ensuring accessibility and ease of use.

Security and Compliance

IT Security Specialists

• Expertise in ensuring data security and compliance during integration and system implementation.
• Knowledge of implementing role-based access controls (RBAC).

Compliance Officers

• Familiarity with organizational policies and regulatory requirements related to asset management.

Training and Support

Technical Trainers

• Experience in developing and delivering tool training sessions and standardized processes.
• Ability to create user guides, FAQs, and instructional materials.

Key Tools and Technologies

• Primary Tool: Asset Management, Workflow Designer, Dashboard Builder

Security Clearance Level :

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
• This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $108,865 - $147,287. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
