Overview
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a seasoned OT Infrastructure Engineer (Level III) to lead the design, deployment, and support of operations technology systems across industrial and data center environments. This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding technical teams, shaping complex infrastructure strategies, and driving successful project outcomes within manufacturing and mission-critical settings.This is a long-term, direct hire role with our client located in Springfield, OR.
Responsibilities
* Promote adherence to robust safety and environmental protocols, while exemplifying leadership and integrity
* Mentor and provide technical guidance to technicians, junior engineers, and operations staff across multiple locations
* Lead and manage OT infrastructure projects from concept to delivery, serving as a technical advisor and/or project manager
* Collaborate on major initiatives involving cross-functional teams focused on strategic infrastructure transformation
* Architect, implement, and maintain networks-firewalls, routers, switches, wireless systems, surveillance tools, and more
* Build and sustain systems infrastructure, including virtualized and physical servers, backup solutions, and storage arrays
* Innovate infrastructure strategies through technical design and integration of cutting-edge hardware and software
* Deliver expert-level support for escalated OT-related incidents, acting as the go-to specialist for complex environments
* Develop infrastructure designs that align with security and interoperability best practices
* Oversee procurement of equipment and ensure systems meet performance and reliability standards
* Conduct site evaluations, system analysis, and prepare reports using appropriate modeling tools
* Take on additional responsibilities as needed and serve as a role model for workplace culture
Requirements:
* Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
* 6+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering
* Proven record leading at least four OT capital projects valued above $250,000
* Clear and effective communication of technical topics to varied audiences
* Expertise in infrastructure design, spanning networking, server platforms, wireless systems, and cybersecurity
* Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
* Hands-on experience with technologies such as: Arista EOS, Cisco IOS & UCS, VMware platforms, Windows/Active Directory, Pure Storage, Veeam, EfficientIP, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices
