About the TeamByteDance Data Infrastructure Storage team is re-architecting HDFS using C++ to enhance its performance and scalability, positioning it as a core infrastructure component for big data storage. As a Distributed Storage System Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to developing large-scale, high-performance storage systems that support critical business needs across Data Platforms, Advertising, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs). If you have a solid technical foundation in distributed storage systems and experience building large-scale storage solutions, we'd love to hear from you!

Online AssessmentCandidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in ByteDance's technical online assessment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of functional features for cloud storage products (including block, file, object, log, and message queue storage).
• Engage in the online operation and maintenance of cloud storage services, supporting all internal business lines and external Volcengine customers.
• Contribute to building a unified infrastructure and management platform for public and hybrid clouds, providing integrated infrastructure support for ToB cloud products to facilitate their external deployment.
• Assist in continuously optimizing system stability, performance, cost-efficiency, availability, scalability, and maintainability.
