Roles and Responsibilities
The Project Manager will lead and oversee the successful delivery of a robotics process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) program. This role is responsible for program execution, stakeholder management, resource coordination, and ensuring all technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met in compliance with Federal acquisition and security requirements.
This role requires residency within the Washington Metropolitan Area, with the ability and willingness to travel to the client site in downtown Washington, D.C., as needed.
Specific Duties
Serve as the primary point of contact to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and other customer stakeholders.
Lead program planning, execution, and monitoring across all tasks and ensure task alignment with customer modernization goals
Oversee the establishment and operations of an RPA Center of Excellence (CoE).
Manage the delivery of automation solutions per year, including development, testing, deployment, and O&M.
Coordinate technical teams to ensure best practices in RPA tool configuration, coding standards, and security compliance.
Ensure the program follows Agile methodologies with iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
Maintain proactive communication with leadership, COR, and technical stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver project status reports, performance metrics, and risk management updates.
Manage staff and oversee subcontractor contributions and ensure integrated team performance.
Monitor and control program budget, costs, and schedule adherence.
Identify risks and issues early, develop mitigation plans, and escalate when necessary.
Ensure corrective actions are documented, implemented, and tracked to resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience managing complex Federal IT programs.
Demonstrated experience managing RPA and AI/ML solution implementations at an enterprise scale.
Experience working with UiPath (preferred) or equivalent RPA tools.
Knowledge of Federal acquisition regulations, contract management, and program reporting requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
PMP and/or Agile certification required (SAFe, Scrum Master, or similar preferred).
Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience establishing and leading CoEs.
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for AI/ML systems
Experience integrating cognitive automation tools such as OCR/ICR, NLP, and chatbots.

Southpoint Consulting relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, as well as organizational and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000/year. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position and is just one component of Southpoint's total compensation package for employees.
