**POSITION SUMMARY**

At CVS, we're building an Infrastructure Platform to enable teams across CVS Digital to quickly and safely deploy code and operate applications at the scale of a large company! The Infrastructure Platform will be leveraged by hundreds of engineers across Retail, Pharmacy, Health Solutions, and Aetna writing applications that will be used by millions of customers. As a senior software engineer on the team, you'll be responsible for leading efforts to build Frontend, APIs, CLI tools, out of the box observability, and a deployment platform that enables teams across CVS to build, test, preview, deploy and operate systems with reduced lead time and stack complexity. We are looking for a technical leader who can collaborate well with others, advocate for best practices, develop intuitive client facing frontends with React, and program in Java or Go to build a platform that engineers want to use. This is a unique opportunity to help build a platform from the ground up and set the standard for exceptional code and safe deployments for a large company.

+ Be able to develop technical solutions in collaboration with other engineers across CVS Digital to ensure we're building an infrastructure platform with our customer's needs in mind

+ Contribute to the implementation of a self-service platform that enables engineers to deploy code safely, quickly, and easily

+ Actively participate in peer code reviews, providing feedback to your fellow engineers to make them better and to improve the quality of the software we deliver

+ Enjoy automating developer pain away by developing UIs, APIs, CLIs, bots, etc

+ Ability to approach all engineering work with a performance lens and make it easy for teams to identify performance bottlenecks

+ Have interest in mentoring other team members so that they can become the best version of themselves

+ Look for opportunities to share what you've learned with the broader engineering organization

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ 5+ years of overall backend development experience on enterprise class applications

+ 3+ years of experience with frontend technologies like Typescript or Javascript

+ 3+ years partnering with architecture, product, and program management teams to influence product development decisions

+ 3+ years of backend technologies, such as Java, Golang, PostgreSQL or Cassandra

+ 3+ years of experience with large public cloud technologies i.e. GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.

+ Experience with teams who follow a Scrum/Agile development methodology

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Experience with backend API's

+ Experience with frontend technologies

+ Experience with industry cloud providers

+ Experience with GraphQL

+ Ability to understand the performance of a largely scaled infrastructure platform

+ Ability to identify customer needs and pain points and identify solutions

**EDUCATION**

Bachelors degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
