Software Development Engineer (SDE) Duration: 12 Months Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30308 Client: State Of Georgia Note: Onsite role, so preferred local candidate. Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated software development engineer (SDE) to join our technology team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software systems. A valid certification in software development (such as a coding boot camp certificate, Microsoft, AWS Developer Certification, or equivalent) is required, demonstrating foundational proficiency in software engineering principles and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-quality, scalable software applications using languages such as Java, Python, or C#
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps
Write clean, efficient, and testable code, following industry best practices
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues
Contribute to code reviews and documentation

Required Qualifications:

Certificate in Software Development, Computer Science, or related area
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools
Exposure to REST APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
