About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and capable Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our
growing team. This role offers the opportunity not only to execute on our existing test
automation efforts, but to help shape the overall testing strategy and tooling direction for
the department. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in modern test
automation frameworks, combined with a strong desire to grow technically, challenge the
status quo, and drive continuous improvement across our quality practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web,
mobile applications and APIs.
Partner closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Lead the evaluation and selection of test automation tools, frameworks, and best
practices.
Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with the team to drive
resolutions.
Define and evangelize test automation strategy across the department, balancing
short-term execution with long-term scalability.
Build and maintain CI/CD integrations to support automated testing pipelines.
Contribute to building a culture of quality throughout the software development
lifecycle.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive regression test suite that is automatically
triggered upon code merge to the pre-production environment to ensure stability
and functionality before release.
Support performance testing for major feature deployments and assist with load
testing preparation and execution during peak holiday periods to ensure application
scalability and reliability under high traffic.
Build and maintain fully automated live health checks and smoke tests to
proactively monitor system health and validate production deployments before and
after release.

Automation Tools: WebDriver, Karate (API and UI testing), JMeter, Jenkins
Cloud/Infrastructure: GCP
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a Software Developer in Test or Test Automation Engineer
role.
Solid programming experience (preferably in JavaScript/TypeScript).
Experience with UI and API test automation frameworks such as WebDriver,
Cypress, Playwright, Karate, or similar.
Working knowledge of test strategy, test design, and test data management.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into the build
process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to
learning and improving.
Strong growth mindset you dont need to know every tool we use today, but you
should have the ability and drive to quickly learn new technologies and approaches
as needed.
Experience in performance, load, or security testing is a plus.
