Infrastructure Engineer

Vaco in partnership with a Leading Manufacturing company is searching for an Infrastructure Engineer. This is a long term contract position

Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Los Angeles / Inland Empire, CA 91710
Term: Contract
Work location: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain technical infrastructure across hardware, networking, and software layers
• Lead WAN, LAN, and wireless network design and implementation
• Direct the architecture of storage and backup systems
• Oversee design and implementation of voice, email, and collaboration systems
• Integrate new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, automation, and operational runbooks
• Lead upgrades and improvements to operating environments
• Serve as final point of technical escalation and provide internal training
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or formal training in computer hardware, software, or networking
• 35 years of experience in network, server, and datacenter technology
• Professional certifications preferred (MCP, MCSE, A+, etc.)
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure (network, voice, server, storage, cloud, and cybersecurity)
• Proven track record of managing infrastructure projects

• Active Directory: Users & Computers, DNS, DHCP, Federated Services, Azure AD
• Azure: Familiarity with Azure Admin Centers
• Networking: Strong knowledge in SD-WAN, LAN/WAN management, wireless access points
• Server Administration: Windows and Linux systems, PKI, Certificates, Windows KMS
• Virtualization: VMware vCenter, vSphere, Disaster Recovery, and Replication expertise
• Security: Solid grasp of IT infrastructure security principles
• Backup/Disaster Recovery: Experience with modern backup solutions and DR strategies
