Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join a critical development team focused on traffic management global-scale web applications. This role emphasizes building high-availability, cloud-native systems using microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, and maintain production-grade backend systems.
Design, development, and deployment of scalable, maintainable cloud-based microservices to support global web traffic needs.
Build robust data integrations by connecting backend applications to SQL data sources, ensuring efficient data access and integrity.
Drive deprecation and modernization of legacy systems to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Leverage a wide range of AWS services, including Redshift, Athena, Lambda, and others, to implement reliable, distributed systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align withpliance, availability, and performance goals.
Qualifications:
Proven experience building, scaling, and maintaining distributed backend systems in production environments, ideally using Java or Python.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data access and backend service integration.
Expertise in microservices architecture and designing services for high availability and fault tolerance.
In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructureponents.
Experience leading deprecation efforts and executing service migrations or refactors.
