IT Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Project Manager

to lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional projects or programs through the entire project development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage planning, execution, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning, Organization & Strategy

Coordinate strategic development, operational planning, and implementation of programs and their underlying projects.

Assist product owners in developing business cases and budgets.

Ensure project scope aligns with overall program strategy.

Consolidate work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans for program-level oversight.

Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Define and negotiate project success criteria with sponsors and stakeholders.

Organize the project team, define roles/responsibilities, and align the team toward common objectives.

Provide detailed project status reports, analysis, and metrics.

2. Execution & Delivery

Lead the execution of complex projects from requirements through to production.

Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and change control processes.

Allocate and manage resources across departments to ensure milestones are achieved.

Identify dependencies and maintain oversight of the critical path.

Facilitate trade-off decisions across quality, cost, scope, and time.

Provide overall direction to the project team and ensure compliance with SDLC and PM standards.

Implement and support various project management methodologies and tools.

3. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Engage with stakeholders and executive leadership to align project objectives with business strategy.

Provide regular updates to steering committees and governance boards.

Mentor junior project managers and coordinators, and contribute to team development and succession planning.

Foster collaboration across project teams to identify efficiencies and improve delivery processes.

Ensure all work adheres to organizational and industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree (BA or equivalent).

Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.

Solid understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.

Proficiency with project management tools such as CA PPM (Clarity), Microsoft Project.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience in:

People management

Risk management

Change management

Budget and resource planning

Cross-functional team leadership

Demonstrated abilities in stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.

Ability to balance multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.

Familiarity with application development, system design, or database architecture is a plus.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Agile learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies. NICE TO HAVE :-

Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.

Familiarity with resource capacity planning or portfolio management tools.

Prior experience in mentoring or managing a PMO team.
