The IT Project Manager will be responsible for key enterprise strategic initiatives, seeking to achieve project scope, time, cost and quality objectives consistent with Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of internal and external resources throughout the lifecycle of these efforts, maintaining an effective and motivated project team. The IT Project Manager will also assist business partners with the development of project charters and project plans, ensuring the appropriate human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management plans are documented, communicated and approved. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Provide project management leadership for high-profile enterprise initiatives, driving cross-functional project teams to achieve high-quality results through all phases of project delivery (initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing) Monitor and manage project scope, time, cost and quality objectives throughout project lifecycles Management and oversight of internal and external project team resources, including vendors, consultants and other third parties Development of project scope and design specifications, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on business requirements Development and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation and archives (projects plans, issues logs, risk registers, stakeholder registers, business requirements, etc.) Active management of project risks, issues, corrective action, change control, status reporting, and process improvement plans Mentor and guide less experienced project managers Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job Minimum of ten (10) years' experience managing projects or programs in a mid- to large scale corporate environment Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques (e.g., PMI PMBOK, PMP training, Agile, SDLC, etc.) Experience managing and leading complex, cross-functional project teams with a deep commitment to effective collaboration across all stakeholder groups Experience managing consultants, external business partners, vendors, RFP processes, SoW / contract processes and project budgets A passion for coaching and developing coworkers and project team members to achieve positive project outcomes Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage conflict Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong meeting facilitation skills Proficiency using standard office automations tools, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, project, program management, etc. Preferred Knowledge and Skills Level of Complexity and Scope Highly complex projects, spanning multiple business units with broad organizational impact including organizational change management Medium to large project teams involving internal and external subject matter experts and resources Project lifecycles spanning several months to several years Degree of Independence and Decision-Making The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision Required Supervisory Responsibilities Mentor and guide less experienced project managers Physical Requirements Must be able to lead and facilitate meetings and/or conference calls which may require stationary standing or sitting for extended periods of time (several hours) Some out-of-town travel may be required (less than 10% of the time) Must be able to operate a computer and interact with standard office automation applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Compliance Statement The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures.
