This position is expected to start August/September 2025 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through approx December 2025) or into Winter/Spring 2026 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Actively participate in the development of the Tesla industrial machine vision software. The intern will work ondeveloping new features for this highly optimized Tesla built software used on the cell manufacturing production lines. This software must efficiently grab, analyze, and save images of cells in milliseconds, 24/7. On top of fixing bugs and adding new features, the intern will be tasked with optimizing certain vision inspections.

Build high-speed PLC communication interfaces
Build modern UIs in WPF
Build software automation tools
Fix production critical bugs
Optimize machine vision algorithms
Build new camera communication interfaces
Pursuing a Degree in a relevant program such as Software Engineering or related field
C#/.NET proficiency
Experience with software development: GitHub, Jira
Industrial machine vision experience highly valued (especially with the MVTec Halcon library)
Experience working with industrial machine vision cameras
Experience coding hardware communication interfaces
