We're looking for an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, you will:
Develop and manage shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments.
Improve security of CI/CD systems and automate change management processes.
Define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team.
Automate the build-out of new Zscaler clouds and create delivery mechanisms for operational collateral.
Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
10+ years of commercial services development experience.
5+ years of public cloud experience (AWS or GCP or Azure) and Kubernetes.
Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and programming languages like Go, Java.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patching, and reporting.
Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and both relational and non-relational databases for microservices.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

$175,000---$250,000 USD
