We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to develop and apply machine learning and computational tools to help advance our pipeline at Neumora Therapeutics. This individual will work across dynamic and inter-disciplinary teams of data scientists, biologists, and clinicians to formulate scientific/clinical problems as data science problems. This role will focus on expanding existing statistical and machine learning methods and tools for clinical development, biomarker development, clinical operations, and patient stratification for our therapies across neuropsychiatry and neurodegeneration. This is a hybrid position (in office 2-3 days/week) based out of Watertown, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Clinicians, Scientists and Data Scientists to analyze in-house and public domain genomic, proteomics, clinical and biomarker data to support clinical development and biomarker strategies for our therapies.
- Leverage data science-driven applications to enhance operational efficiencies and data rigor across Neumora clinical programs.
- Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, data scientists and data engineers.
- Communicate findings to multiple senior stakeholders and executive committee members.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Biostatistics/Computer Science/Neuroscience (or equivalent).
- Strong background in Biostatistics and Machine Learning.
- Hands-on experience in statistics and machine learning toolboxes in Python and/or R.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player, good communication skills and a continuous learner.
- Prior experience in the analysis of biomarker data using statistical or machine learning techniques in academic or industry setting(s).
- Experience using a cloud-based Data Science ecosystem (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with genomic and/or proteomic data analysis.

The salary range posted describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Actual salary may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Base Salary Range: $180,990-$ 201,504
