Roles and Responsibilities 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support a federal government customer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering robust cloud-based software solutions and must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Triggers, Workflows, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). 

This role requires residency within the Washington Metropolitan Area, with the ability and willingness to travel to the client site in downtown Washington, D.C., as needed. 

Specific Duties 

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Salesforce solutions 

  • Write and maintain functional and unit test code 

  • Perform code validation using unit tests, security scans, and profiling tools 

  • Verify functionality against QA test cases within the development environment 

  • Document code, errors, and recovery procedures 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects throughout testing and deployment phases 

  • Collaborate with team members to refine requirements and provide technical insight 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 

  • Minimum of 4 years of advanced, hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) 

  • Proven ability to design and implement complex Salesforce integrations with external systems using APIs 

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud, with the ability to customize multi-channel user experiences 

  • Proficient in Salesforce configuration, including Flows, Process Builder, and other declarative tools 

  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, relational database design, and design patterns 

  • Demonstrated leadership in technical discussions, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Experience in Agile development environments, including participation in sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles 

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II or other advanced Salesforce certifications strongly preferred 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident

Southpoint Consulting relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, as well as organizational and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000/year.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position and is just one component of Southpoint's total compensation package for employees.
