In this critical role, you’ll help strengthen the cybersecurity postures, drive response capabilities, and build smart, automated defenses that protect sensitive operations. Cybersecurity Operations Engineer
$160–180k base + great benefits
Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily security operations and work with internal development teams to build out and automate responses.
• Continuously enhance detection and response capabilities to protect regulated environments.
• Automate threat response procedures using scripting (Python, PowerShell) and SOAR tools.
• Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of potential security incidents.
• Integrate and manage tools like SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Partner with IT, compliance, and engineering teams to implement effective, audit-ready security controls.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor risk, response time, and security effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience with detection tools, incident response processes, and automation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
