Ideal Image is seeking a Principal Product Manager – Backend Systems (Salesforce Communities & Booking Platform) to define and lead the strategic roadmap for our backend system, built on Salesforce Communities and evolving into our proprietary scheduling platform, which powers booking and treatment processes for our clients. You’ll drive the transition to our IdealQ uote project, oversee Conversion Success Phase 2, and deliver a scalable, client-focused platform in a dynamic, pre-agile environment. This role requires deep Salesforce expertise , med spa or multi-location retail op erational knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity to deliver transformative results.
Responsibilities- Strategic Roadmap Leadership : Define and own a multi-year roadmap for the backend system, aligning with Ideal Image’s goals to enhance booking, treatment scheduling, payment features, and client self-service capabilities (e.g., cancel/reschedule without login) .
- Booking & Quoting Platform Transformation : Lead the transformation of our backend booking and quoting systems, migrating from legacy Salesforce components toward IdealQuote . Ensure seamless workflows for quoting, booking, and treatment while planning for Salesforce’s broader shift toward Revenue Cloud .
- Conversion Success Phase 2 Delivery : Oversee the delivery of Phase 2 features, including multi-treatment booking, promo integration, 3rd-party financing (Cred Compare), loan APIs, and payment platform integrations, ensuring alignment with business priorities .
- Cross-Functional Leadership : Collaborate with Marketing, Salesforce Dev/QA, Salt Dev, demandDrive , and Product teams to define requirements, prioritize initiatives (e.g., membership discounts, CMS updates for booking flows), and stack-rank priorities in Jira .
- Infrastructure & Integration Strategy : Partner with infrastructure teams to support new integrations (e.g., loan APIs, payment platforms) and ensure scalability, security, and compliance with med spa regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) .
- Stakeholder Alignment : Engage ELT members to secure buy-in on business needs, presenting data-driven insights (e.g., 6-month progress updates) and articulating benefits of features like decoupled quotes from loans .
- Ambiguity Navigation : Thrive in a fast-moving, pre-agile environment, cutting through complexity to provide clarity and direction for distributed teams, including offshore developers .
- Performance & Innovation : Define KPIs (e.g., booking conversion rates, treatment scheduling accuracy) and drive continuous iteration based on data, feedback, and med spa market trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/training/certifications.
- 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years in a Principal or Senior leadership role, ideally in retail, healthcare, med spa, or wellness industries with heavy CRM integration.
- Salesforce Mastery: Deep understanding of Salesforce Communities and extensive experience overseeing migrations or platform transitions between quoting systems. Familiarity with Salesforce Revenue Cloud and its implications for CRM architecture is a plus.
- Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, and integrations (e.g., payment platforms, 3rd-party financing). Familiarity with data layer management, consent tools (e.g., OneTrust ), and web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate with engineers .
- Strategic Leadership: Experience crafting long-term roadmaps that balance immediate needs (e.g., Phase 2 deliverables) with future innovation, such as enhancing payment features or self-service capabilities .
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced skills in Figma (prototyping), Jira (sprint tracking and prioritization), and Confluence (documentation and alignment) .
- Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage ELT stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and drive consensus in ambiguous environments .
- Transformation Experience: Background in leading platform transitions (e.g., from legacy systems to modern solutions) and guiding teams through pre-agile to agile transformations.
Preferred Skills
- Med Spa Operations: Deep understanding of med spa workflows, including multi-modality promo scheduling, treatment booking, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) .
- Familiarity with guided selling, product catalog management, and pricing/discount strategies in a med spa context .
- Background in defining data and analytics strategies to support booking and treatment insights, including GA4 and paid media platforms.
