The Principal Developer, Visualizations is responsible for designing, developing, and leading the delivery of end-to-end analytics solutions, spanning data modeling, transformation, and visualization to support pre-sale, post-sale, and operational analytics. This role focuses on building scalable data and business intelligence solutions using Snowflake, SQL, and Power BI to deliver actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.

The Senior Developer will work closely with analysts, business partners, and cross-functional teams to transform healthcare data-including claims and revenue cycle data, such as 835 and 837 transaction data-into structured data models and meaningful dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, advanced SQL, and Power BI, along with the ability to lead technical design decisions and align solutions with business objectives.

The Senior Developer partners with stakeholders to define KPIs, influence data standards, and deliver high-quality analytics products while owning the full lifecycle from data ingestion through curated models to final reporting and visualization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable end-to-end analytics solutions from data ingestion through Snowflake and SQL data models to Power BI dashboards and reporting
  • Design and implement robust, scalable Snowflake/SQL data models to support enterprise-level analytics use cases
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations, including data cleansing, enrichment, and aggregation, ensuring high performance and scalability
  • Translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into structured data models and effective visualization solutions, driving clarity and alignment
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across the full data pipeline, demonstrating strong ownership of data quality and governance
  • Analyze large, complex healthcare datasets, including claims, remits, revenue cycle data, and 835/837 transaction data, to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and maintain analytics-ready semantic layers that enable intuitive, scalable, and consistent reporting in Power BI
  • Apply and promote best practices in data modeling, SQL development, and visualization design to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions
  • Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights aligned with business priorities
  • Drive improvements in data pipelines and reusable data assets to increase efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enable scalable analytics development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, product, and business teams, influencing alignment between upstream data pipelines and downstream analytics solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality, pipeline, and performance issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term solutions
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and healthcare regulatory requirements across the data and analytics lifecycle
  • Lead and contribute to key analytical initiatives including client reporting, pre-sale analytics, and operational performance tracking
  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance analytics capabilities and improve delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing end-to-end analytics solutions, including data modeling, transformation, and visualization
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL, including complex query development, data modeling, and performance optimization
  • 5+ years of experience with Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, and dashboard development
  • 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including designing scalable data models and optimizing data pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with healthcare claims and revenue cycle data, including 835 and 837 transaction datasets
  • Proven ability to lead technical design and independently deliver solutions across the full data lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to define and apply data modeling and analytics best practices
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data structures, including diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and revenue cycle workflows
  • Experience designing dimensional models (star schema) and analytics-ready data layers
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Experience in healthcare consulting, payer/provider analytics, or healthcare technology organizations
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, Fabric)
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and pipeline best practices

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
