Job Description

The Senior Change Manager provides strategic leadership for change management in support of the Business Banking segment ($0-$25 million). This role is accountable for defining, leading, and executing change strategies that enable successful adoption of new products, capabilities, and operating model changes across the segment.

Operating as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the Senior Change Manager partners across business, functional, and delivery teams to ensure changes are well designed, clearly communicated, operationally ready, and sustainably adopted. The role focuses on the people, process, and adoption components of transformation and product delivery, with an emphasis on non technical enablement and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the change strategy for assigned initiatives and product releases, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness, adoption, and reinforcement plans.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to segment leadership, regional leaders, and functional partners (Marketing, Operations, Technology, Risk, and others) to align change execution with business priorities.
  • Translate complex change into clear, compelling narratives that articulate business value, customer impact, and employee relevance.
  • Lead enterprise-scale readiness efforts, ensuring all operational impacts are identified, planned for, and mitigated prior to release.
  • Establish and drive change governance, ensuring alignment across teams and accountability for execution of change activities.
  • Oversee updates to processes, procedures, training, and enablement materials across all impacted organizations.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level communications and presentations, including recommendations, risk assessments, and adoption insights.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader on change management best practices, advising leaders on approach, timing, and risk mitigation.
  • Measure change effectiveness, leveraging qualitative and quantitative feedback to assess adoption, refine strategies, and demonstrate business impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex project and/or change management initiatives within a large, matrixed organization
  • Deep expertise in change management principles and their application at scale
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problemsolving capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience leading change for product launches, transformations, or operating model shifts

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
