CVS is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to design and implement scalable AI-driven applications. This Senior Agentic AI Engineer should have experience with LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, and related AI/ML domains. Additionally, this Engineer should be skilled in programming languages such as Python, and proficient with cloud-based AI platforms and frameworks. The role requires strong analytical thinking, a deep understanding of model training and evaluation, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable impact.Responsibilities for the RoleDesign, develop, and maintain both front-end interfaces and backend services with AI capabilitiesCreate and manage RESTful APIs and integrate AI services such as LLMs, embeddings, and document parsing toolsExtract, transform, and analyze large datasets to enhance product features and user experienceImplement highly optimized machine learning pipelines with quantized models for legacy hardwareEnsure high code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and debuggingProactively solve technical issues and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycleStay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into our operations where beneficialREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of overall Software Development experience 1+ year developing AI/NLP solutions using LLMs3+ years of Python (or similar) development skills with experience in working with CSV/JSON/XML input formats2+ years of experience working in cloud hosted environmentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSGCP cloud experience highly desiredFamiliarity with cloud-based LLM services such as Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAIExperience fine-tuning LLMs / SLMsExperience in implementing Agent Skills is a plusExperience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Experience with data processing, data analysis, and building data pipelinesSolid understanding of rule-based processing and data-driven content generationExperience with lightweight local development for AI proof-of-conceptsPrior work on e-commerce, retail, or marketing content generationExperience with LangGraph and LangSmithBuilding scalable cloud solutionsFamiliarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL)EDUCATIONBachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)BUSINESS OVERVIEWBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. Anticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$83,430.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
