Job DescriptionThe Office of Information Technology is seeking an IT Solutions Consultant to join our Enhanced Technology Partnerships team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the Department of Development staff, stepping into their world to understand their operational challenges and strategic goals. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technological execution, ensuring our development teams have the reliable, scalable, and secure systems required to advance the University's mission.
Your day to day work will combine strategic consultation with hands-on technical execution. You will manage evolving technology needs, gather requirements directly from end users, and design solutions that balance usability with long term support considerations. By keeping your pulse on the latest IT services and emerging technologies, you will deliver maximum business value to your campus partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Development to analyze business challenges, validate business cases, and recommend technology strategies that align with organizational objectives.
Elicit and document customer needs using voice of customer techniques such as interviews, focus groups, surveys, and direct observations to create comprehensive requirements documents and business process maps.
Collaborate with customers and other IT team members to design, develop, test, and deploy selected technology solutions.
Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and necessary upgrades for deployed solutions.
Maintain up to date knowledge of emerging technologies and enterprise IT services.

Minimum
Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and education.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities with a focus on continuous innovation.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously through effective time management, and prioritize tasks in an evolving environment.
Strong customer service orientation with experience working directly with end users to determine needs and deliver solutions.
Ability to lead teams to complete projects, assess team skills, and build on individual strengths.
Ability to lift up to fifty pounds as required for technical setups.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office products, Active Directory, SCCM, JAMF, audio visual equipment, and endpoint software and hardware.
Experience working with ServiceNow and adhering to ITIL best practices.
Experience utilizing both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
