  • Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in office (Monday and Tuesday)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8+ years of experience in the following areas:
      • Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run data based testing functions automatically
      • Experience prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios
      • Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments
      • Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing
      • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies
      • Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly
      • Strong familiarity with analysis, planning, and management reporting functions
      • Acquires knowledge of the customer's business in assigned area
      • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills o Able to work with customer as needed during test cycle
      • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, team playing, and oral/written communication skills
      • Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities


    PREFERRED

    • 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
      • Experience working for State level government organizations
      • Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management technologies
      • Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications
    • Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases
    • Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing
    • Work with development database administration teams to resolve issues
    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for database testing
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems
    • Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather test requirements and objectives
