Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager - GenAI for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will lead the project planning and management of a Generative AI development initiative. You will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers to scope, schedule, and budget while facilitating communication across technology, business teams, and leadership. This position also enforces internal policies and standards for structuring, executing, and reporting on projects and releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure project delivers value and adheres to scope, schedule, and budget
• Work with business sponsors and stakeholders to articulate expected outcomes and establish metrics for measuring success
• Create and track a project plan containing all deliverables, dependencies, and risks
• Ensure the project team has the necessary resources required for success
• Identify and mitigate issues and risks to minimize impact
• Facilitate communication between delivery teams and business stakeholders
• Host periodic status meetings and document project status for reporting
• Enforce company policies and standards for structuring, executing, and reporting on releases and projects

Requirements:

• 8+ years in similar project management roles
• 5+ years managing cross-team software development initiatives working with agile development methodology
• 3+ years in the financial industry with exposure to Global Markets (Sales Trading)
• Higher education in an IT field or relevant previous work experience
• Deep project and budget management experience
• Familiarity with the latest AI/ML platform capabilities with a solid understanding of inter-system dependencies
• Proven ability to operate across multiple organizations, disciplines, locations, and time zones
• Meticulous and highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence

Desired skills:

• Software implementation experience, particularly with multi-tier, micro-services platforms
• Familiarity with enterprise Change Management processes and tools
• Project management certification (e.g., Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar)

Pay range: $61.60 - $69.60 per hour
