Job Summary
Seeking a Lead DataStage Integration Support Engineer with strong development and administrative expertise to own ETL platform delivery, lead support operations, and drive stability, performance, and continuous improvement across data integration systems.
Key Responsibilities 1. DataStage Platform Management
Own end-to-end IBM DataStage ETL platform (Development, Administration & Support)
Design, develop, and enhance ETL jobs and workflows
Manage:
User roles & security
Deployments & migrations
Platform administration
- Support & Incident Management
Troubleshoot DataStage and Unix job failures
Drive:
Incident Management
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Continuous improvement initiatives - Automation & Scripting
Develop and debug:
Shell Scripts
Python-based automation - Control-M Administration
Handle Control-M activities:
- Job monitoring
- Scheduling
- Failure handling
- Agent upgrades
Configure:
- SAP/Unix jobs
- Calendars
- Workload policies
- Gentran Support
Support:
- Maps
- Mailboxes
- FTP Scripts
- Java Programs
- SQL Procedures
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor DataStage Support Engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors
- Define and enforce best practices for:
- ETL development
- Release management
- Production support
Mandatory Skills
Core Technical Skills
8 10 years of IBM DataStage (Development + Administration)
Strong expertise in:
- Unix/Linux
- Shell scripting
- Cron jobs
- Hands-on experience with Python Programming
- Strong experience in Control-M Administration & Scheduling
Knowledge of:
