Amazon WorkSpaces is revolutionizing end user computing by providing fully managed Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions from the AWS Cloud. Organizations can easily provision cloud-based desktops that allow their users to access documents, applications and the resources they need with the device of their choice, including laptops, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android tablets, and zero clients. With a few clicks in the AWS Management Console, customers can provision a high-quality cloud desktop experience for any number of users at a cost that is highly competitive with traditional desktops while costing less than most traditional virtual desktop solutions.

The systems underlying the offering are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from a set of robust platform services, to system-level pieces, and everything in between.

As a developer on our team, youll own code end-to-end from design to development, and work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. Youll have a sound understanding of computer science fundamentals and practical industry experience, working across the technology stack.

Key job responsibilities
A successful candidate in this role will engineer new solutions or enhance existing solutions that enable customers to have a great experience when utilizing our virtual desktop offerings. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
