Computer Technician

About the Role:The Lunenburg Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and skilled Computer Technician tosupport our growing 1:1 technology program. This position is responsible for the deployment,repair, and maintenance of Chromebooks used by students and staff, ensuring devices are fullyfunctional and updated to meet educational or operational needs.Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair hardware issues on Chromebook devices (screens, batteries,keyboards, etc.) Perform software troubleshooting and OS reinstallation on Chrome OS Manage device inventory using tools like Google Admin Console Support end-users (students, teachers, staff) with Chromebook-related issues Prepare and configure Chromebooks for deployment (enrollment, asset tagging) Track repairs and replacements, maintaining accurate records and documentation Collaborate with IT staff to implement device policies and ensure security compliance Assist in managing peripheral devices (chargers, carts, keyboards)

Job Requirements
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or certification in IT preferred) Experience with Chromebook repair and Chrome OS troubleshooting Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education (preferred) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users Ability to lift and move equipment as neededPreferred Skills: Experience in an educational or enterprise environment Knowledge of ticketing systems and asset management platforms
