In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Product Leader and/or General Partner to develop and execute the firm's product management and strategy for managed investments (I.e., Mutual Funds, ETFs, UITs, 529 plans, Money Market Funds and Donor Advised Funds) to ensure branch teams have quality products and support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals. This is an individual contributor role.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute the firm's product strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products and support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Participate in the design, development and management of innovative products that align with firm advice and guidance in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Gather data and insights and conduct analysis of advanced complexity that inform product strategy and development.
  • Responsible for product partner relationships of moderate to significant size, complexity, number or impact in order to:
    • manage and maintain their portfolio of products including influencing recommendations to add / remove / change products or product partners as needed.
    • help shape and execute business plans that align with firm strategic direction
    • ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is effective (quantity and quality), aligned with key firm messages and compliant
    • collaborate on the design and development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience
    • resolve moderately complex / broad product partner issues as escalated.
    • regularly interface with product partner peer contacts (Eg. relationship managers, product analysts, divisional sales managers, and operational managers)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned product partner products for the firm. Includes broad and some advanced knowledge of product partner products features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
  • Managed Investments products include Mutual Funds, ETFs, 529 Plans and UITs.
  • Retirement products include Traditional, Roth, SEP, SIMPLE IRAs and ERISA & Non-ERISA retirement plans
  • Insurance products include Term, VUL, UL, Disability and LTC.
  • Annuity products include VA, Fixed deferred, SPIA and DIA.
  • Investment Advisory Products include model portfolios, SMAs, Bridgebuilder Funds, client/FA/firm discretionary programs
  • Develop understanding of rules and potential changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line
  • Leads certain additional responsibilities specific to the team or area (Eg. recruiting, training, product partner coordination, wholesaler effectiveness)
  • Participate in broad division, firm or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy (Eg. cross divisional-projects, internal committees, product partner events, regional events, industry groups, etc.)


Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status . Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work
What Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required with quantitative discipline preferred (I.e., finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.)
  • 5+ years of relevant financial services experience, with Investment Product Management or Portfolio Management experience preferred, including:
    • Series 7, 66 required within 12 months of hire
    • Advanced knowledge in product line products
    • Exceptional technical aptitude and analytical skills
    • Highly collaborative
    • Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office, Tableau and database

  • Advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) (e.g. Managed Investments: CFA, CIMA, CFP, ChFC, CPA, etc)

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
