Job Description
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
You will have the opportunity to work on business critical applications such as Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) / Reporting / Tax portfolios across the enterprise by supporting various vendor-based software packages and the backend infrastructure they run on. You will work directly with various groups with application teams such as Dev, QA and UAT, as well as enterprise TI groups to roll out software patches, enhance efficiency and effectiveness by adopting enterprise standards all while ensuring stability.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Help Manage all stages of delivery against mission critical applications:
Installing, maintaining, administering and updating vendor provided software
Providing support for new and existing on-prem and SaaS applications
Work closely with various internal IT groups for setting up and configuring required changes
Work with vendors to create support tickets and follow through with troubleshooting/diagnosing complex, escalated issues and suggested fixes to ensure application stability
Work closely with application team to plan monthly releases, creating/executing runbooks, and assisting with delivering our product roadmaps
Providing technical support for development team, QA and end users with running application components
Monitoring applications to ensure it is performing as expected and tweaking settings to ensure it is optimally configured
Work on automating any manual tasks that can help with productivity
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience on multiple projects with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd party software packages
3-5 years of demonstrated work experience with large high performing teams
Experience in Windows Server management and recommended best practices
Experience with working on UNIX (AIX/Linux) environments
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Helios, UCD, Jenkins, GIT, etc.
Excellent understanding and technical knowledge in On-Premise and Cloud architecture
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as an integral team member across our global distributed technical teams
Experience in supporting Vendor Software (IBM Planning Analytics, IBM Cognos Analytics, CDM, Longview, Workiva, etc...)
Nice-to-have:
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across various teams
