Software Engineer III (Multiple Position

Wayfair LLC seeks Software Engineer III (Multiple Positions) in Boston, MA:

Job Duties: Lead complex mobile initiatives, including architecting and developing new features, application maintenance, and refactoring, and increased performance and automation. Follow and uphold best practices and coding standards across the entire team; review code and provide guidance for other code reviewers participating in our release approval process. Work closely with product and engineering management to anticipate areas for improvement and investment, and to discuss any concerns with current direction. Contribute to the technical roadmap. Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, UX, back-end/API, product, analytics, and other teams. Propose and own initiatives from start to finish while balancing various technical trade-offs including speed to delivery, maintainability, system performance and others. Collaborate with stakeholders across product and engineering to understand pain points and drive initiatives forward. Collaborate with iOS and android teams to solve regressions and/or bridge feature parity gaps. Share knowledge, experience, and best practices through mentoring, tech talks, and presentations. The position is based in Boston, MA; however, telecommuting is permitted. Salary: $107,557 to $136,000

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:
1. GraphQL schema design and federation architecture (with Apollo Client/Server);
2. Front end web development with JavaScript, TypeScript;
3. Java/JavaScript programming language for systems-level development;
4. Distributed systems monitoring and observability (Datadog metrics, APM, and log aggregation);
5. Server-side rendering optimization with Next.js and React Server Components;
6. Java enterprise framework development (Spring Boot, Maven, RESTful API design);
7. Basic interaction design and prototyping (Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator);
8. CI/CD pipeline architecture with automated testing and deployment strategies.
