Managing Director-Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank & Trust Company; Quincy, MA): Responsible for the Software Architecture & Application Development for Enterprise Shared Services Frameworks. Min Reqs: Bach deg or its equiv in Comp Science or a rel tech field & 10 yrs exp as Software Eng or relevant exp. Alt: will accept Mast deg in same & 7 yrs in same. Total exp must include: 5 years as senior hands-on technology leader for application development for large & complex financial applications. 5 years of experience managing a global team of software development & QA engineers. Must also have: Proven ability to provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical project implementations; Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment; Demonstrated architect-level experience designing & implementing financial applications; Proven ability to advocate & implement best practices & improved team processes; Demonstrated solid ability & prior leadership in driving innovation & thought leadership; Proven solid leadership & interpersonal skills, & people management experience & ability to drive change through collaboration & influence; Proven solid analytical, conceptual, & problem-solving abilities; Proven ability to deal with uncertainty & organizational flux in an effective manner; Demonstrated aptitude for learning new & complex environments, processes, & technologies; Experience with implementing new products & improving the existing systems in both monolith & distributed microservices architecture; Proven experience on JMS/Messaging & middleware like IBM MQ/Apache Kafka; Demonstrated strong experience & solid ability with Java SDK 1.8, Java SDK 11, Spring Boot (Embedded Tomcat), REST & SOAP API SOA based Web Services, RESTful Web Services, Spring, MVC, XSD, XML & WSDL, DB & Microservices; & Demonstrated operation experience developing large-scale applications on cloud service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) providers (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure) or Private cloud. All experience can be gained concurrently.) Salary: $238,285 to $282,500/year. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
