... As a Staff Product Manager, Central Fill Pharmacy Fulfillment, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Walmart's rapidly expanding Central Fill pharmacy platform. Central Fill is a critical component of Walmart's pharmacy ecosystem. Prescriptions originate in-store, are routed to centralized fulfillment facilities for automated dispensing, and are returned to stores for final pickup by customers. As Walmart continues to scale its Central Fill network, this role will be responsible for defining and delivering the technology capabilities that enable higher throughput, greater operational efficiency, and seamless integration across pharmacy, fulfillment, and store operations.
This is a highly strategic individual contributor role requiring deep product leadership, strong technical acumen, and the ability to influence across a complex ecosystem of internal and external partners. - Own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Central Fill Pharmacy Fulfillment capabilities.
- Drive initiatives that expand Walmart's Central Fill footprint and increase prescription volume processed through centralized facilities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance pharmacy workflows across the prescription lifecycle.
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner decisions to accelerate delivery and maximize business value.
- Develop business cases, success metrics, and strategic plans aligned to enterprise healthcare and pharmacy objectives.
- Own product delivery from discovery through implementation and value realization.
- Translate complex operational challenges into scalable technology solutions.
- Prioritize roadmaps and backlogs based on customer impact, operational benefits, technical feasibility, and business outcomes.
- Manage dependencies across multiple engineering teams, external technology partners, and pharmacy stakeholders.
- Drive launch planning, adoption strategies, performance measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Lead predominantly backend-focused product initiatives supporting prescription routing, fulfillment orchestration, inventory management, workflow automation, integrations, and operational visibility.
- Partner with Engineering to shape system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and platform capabilities.
- Drive discussions around technical tradeoffs, scalability, reliability, and long-term platform investments.
- Ensure products are built with operational resilience and future network expansion in mind.
- Develop a deep understanding of fulfillment workflows, operational metrics, and pharmacy data ecosystems.
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks that quantify business impact, cost savings, throughput improvements, and customer outcomes.
- Utilize analytics, experimentation, and operational insights to validate investments and prioritize opportunities.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives that influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Partner closely with two major external technology providers and Walmart's internal engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Build strong relationships across Pharmacy Operations, Store Operations, Supply Chain, Compliance, Engineering, Analytics, and Healthcare leadership.
- Serve as a trusted product leader who aligns stakeholders around strategic priorities and execution plans.
- Mentor and elevate other product managers through coaching, product rigor, and best-practice sharing.
- Experience owning strategy and execution for complex enterprise, supply chain, healthcare, fulfillment, or platform products.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
- Strong customer-first mindset combined with a deep understanding of operational and business outcomes.
- Proven success balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform investments.
- Strong understanding of backend systems, platform architecture, APIs, integrations, data models, and distributed workflows.
- Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architecture, scalability, technical debt, and implementation tradeoffs.
- Comfortable operating in highly technical environments with complex system dependencies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage operational, financial, and customer data to drive decisions.
- Experience defining KPIs, measuring outcomes, and building data-driven product strategies.
- Ability to connect technical investments to measurable business value and operational efficiency.
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare technology, prescription fulfillment, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, dispensing workflows, and fulfillment networks.
