We are seeking a Data Center Technician to play a key role in strengthening and modernizing security architecture across complex systems and platforms.

Job Summary

Seeking a Junior Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations in a high-scale cloud infrastructure environment (AWS-type DCs). The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Linux, networking, server hardware, and cabling and be eager to grow in a data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in rack & stack installations and decommissions
• Perform basic server hardware troubleshooting (break/fix)
• Support structured cabling (copper & fiber connections)
• Conduct Linux server checks (basic health monitoring, logs)
• Perform L1 network troubleshooting (connectivity, cables, ports)
• Work with ticketing systems (ServiceNow / Jira)
• Follow change management & SLA guidelines
• Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors, and onsite teams

Required Skills (Must-Have )

• Basic Linux commands (CLI)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Hands-on or academic exposure to:
• Hardware troubleshooting
• Rack & stack
• Cabling (fiber or ethernet)
• Knowledge of ticketing systems
• Strong troubleshooting mindset

Nice to Have

• AWS / Cloud basics (EC2, S3)
• Certifications:
• CompTIA A+ / Network+
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Internship / project experience in:
• Data Center / NOC / IT Support

Soft Skills

• Willingness to work in shifts (24x7 DC environment)
• Good communication & teamwork
• Quick learner with strong work ethic

Important Details:

• Employment Type: Contract
• Work Location: Boardman, OR and Hermiston OR
• Company HQ: New York
• Target Bill Rate: $20/hr – $28/hr
• Schedule: 4 Days Working, 10.5 hours each day
