Job Description

We are seeking an Application Architect III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure solution design, ITSM-driven low-level design, and cloud and network technologies, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into high-quality technical designs and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders to review and understand Business Requirements Documents.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and design specifications.
• Identify and coordinate appropriate Technology Infrastructure SMEs for design discussions.
• Create Low Level Designs using the ITSM Service Request Design Console.
• Develop High Level Designs in Visio and Adobe and align them with corresponding LLDs.
• Apply BAC Reference Architecture standards and bank frameworks to produce supported solutions.
• Identify non-standard products and drive resolution with relevant parties.
• Partner with the Chief Engineer and Capacity Planner to determine hosting targets and sizing for CPU, memory, and storage.
• Document issues, risks, assumptions, and key decisions that affect designs.
• Produce LLD details including compute, memory, disk types and sizes (NAS, SAN), backup schedules and retentions, file systems, application tiers, hosting locations, AD OUs, maintenance windows, and required platform software.
• Communicate status and escalations with Technology Project Managers throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to obtain hardware quotes when needed.
• Review cost and design with SMEs and obtain approvals and signoffs.
• Maintain accurate design deliverables and post to project repositories.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to create end-to-end infrastructure solutions and conceptual designs in Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of database technologies and interfaces.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and services (Oracle Cloud or AWS).
• Understanding of network infrastructure including HTTP, TCP, DNS, and load balancers.
• Experience producing ITSM-aligned LLDs and HLDs and using Service Request Design Console.
• Customer service orientation with clear communication and influencing skills.
• Leadership capability to drive the analysis and design phase and meet delivery dates.
• Familiarity with PMM/DSES processes and required outputs.

Preferred Skills:

• Software development background to inform application and platform design.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud or AWS solutioning.
• Experience in enterprise financial services environments and reference architectures.
